Would be glad to know if there is any technique to filter mongo db data before indexing to elasticsearch using mongo-connector.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10694375013096153038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1796750639231272453.post-36899167491180155292016-06-25T20:09:48.179-07:002016-06-25T20:09:48.179-07:00Thanks Vikash to share this it was really good pos...Thanks Vikash to share this it was really good post. I was trying to do this using transporter but couldn't do because it was not recognising the mongo adapter then i switched to mongo-connector after seeing your post and it worked but the only issue i see here is data transformation. It will be good if you can give the approach which you will be taking for data transformation would be great help.rudihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14558254786298606728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1796750639231272453.post-86910750826013210032016-04-22T03:37:09.199-07:002016-04-22T03:37:09.199-07:00Hi, A good way to do that would be to write your o...Hi, A good way to do that would be to write your own indexing script. Which reads the data from mongo (using oplog maybe) and updates the index in bulk. I am currently using this technique. Will write a post on that someday.Vikashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08240407133203296581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1796750639231272453.post-90679294199380606692016-04-22T03:36:00.087-07:002016-04-22T03:36:00.087-07:00Hi, Now i have written my own indexing script. Are you still using the ...Have Vikash, great post!<br /><br />Are you still using the mongo-connector to insert documents into elasticsearch? I'm wondering if you've found a way to transform data before inserting it into elasticsearch. For example, I'd like to parse out the time component of a Mongo's ObjectId and save it as a date field in Elasticsearch.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03220391623285888955noreply@blogger.com
